Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 August 2026

These terms govern the service provided by Hefford Services (sole trader Brad Hefford, Derbyshire, UK) to your business ("you"/"the customer"). By signing up you agree to them.

1. The service

We provide an automated "text-back" booking line for your business: when a customer contacts the number you advertise, our system replies, qualifies the enquiry, offers appointment slots, books the job, and alerts you. Optional add-ons (Review Booster, Service Reminders) are available; day-before Appointment Reminders are included. We set the service up on your behalf.

2. Price, free month and billing

3. No contract — cancel anytime

There is no minimum term and no tie-in. You can cancel at any time via the billing portal or by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for part-months.

4. Fair use of SMS

Your subscription includes reasonable SMS usage for normal small-business volumes. Exceptionally high message volumes may incur additional pass-through network costs, which we will discuss and agree with you before applying.

5. Availability and reliance

We aim to keep the service running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation, and it depends on third-party networks and providers. The service is an automated aid to catching enquiries — it should not be relied upon as the sole means of handling urgent or emergency contact. We do not guarantee any particular number of jobs, bookings, reviews or results.

6. Missed-call forwarding (where enabled)

Where the optional true missed-call feature is used, it relies on you setting conditional call-forwarding on your own mobile. Support for, and the behaviour of, call-forwarding varies between mobile networks and handsets and is outside our control; we cannot guarantee it will work on every network.

7. Your responsibilities and data protection

For any messages sent to your own customers (including review requests and service reminders), you confirm that those contacts are your genuine customers, that you have a lawful basis to contact them, and that they have not opted out. You remain the data controller for your customers' data; we act as your data processor under a separate Data Processing Agreement and only on your instructions. Every message includes an opt-out (STOP), which we honour automatically. See our Privacy Policy.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the month in which the issue arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or missed jobs.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
